Dell Readies Affordable Portable Laptop For Business and Schools ...

Dell Latitude 3330Yesterday computer maker Dell, Inc. announced it will be launching a brand new portable laptop computer for their business and education customers later this month. The new model will be called Dell Latitude 3330 and feature a 13.3-inch HD (1366-by-768) anti-glare display, Intel processor options, hybrid SSHD internal storage options, USB 3.0 ports, and an HD webcam to name a few things. The new Dell Latitude 3330?s will feature a starting price of $419 USD, according to Dell?s Direct2Dell corporate blog.

Although the precise configurations haven?t been?unveiled?just yet the base $419 model should feature Intel Celeron processing power. According to Dell the processors that will be available for the Latitude 3330 will come from the Intel Celeron and Core i3 and i5 families. With the base processor being an Intel Celeron (probably dual-core) this new laptop will be a good fit for schools and small businesses that just need a good mobile computer for basic things like text document editing or wireless Internet browsing.

The portability of this new laptop is touted pretty heavily by Dell in their blog and in their official press?release? For the record the Latitude 3330 laptop will weigh?3.43lbs or 1.55kg and measure just?21 mm thick. The slimmed down chassis isn?t all that makes this new Dell portable though, the Latitude 3330 also comes with a swappable 6-cell battery that is rated at up to 10 hours of battery life.
