The legal tampering period for teams to negotiate and sign their own free agents started at midnight last night and the news is already flowing.
There are not only players that will re-signed to the teams they played for last season, but a few that have already been released and therefore can be signed by other teams. The Atlanta Falcons released CB Dunta Robinson, who then was free to sign with any team. The Kansas City Chiefs jumped right into the mix and signed him.
Hopefully, the Baltimore Ravens can use some of the cap space available due to the cap-friendly long-term deal signed by QB Joe Flacco earlier this week. If ILB Dannell Ellerbe is allowed to remain unsigned by Tuesday, when free agency opens up league-wide, it seems likely that another team will make Dannell an offer that the Ravens will not be able to compete with.
The Indianapolis Colts and Cleveland Browns are rumored to be targeting OLB Paul Kruger. Now, it is being reported that in addition to the New EnglandPatriots, the Philadelphia Eagles may have a serious interest in Ravens safety Ed Reed.
SB Nation has a continuing stream of stories on all the happenings around the NFL regarding free agent, including the moves and signings as they happen.
